LIFE NTERTWINED

I have to eat, right? Yesterday, I chose to eat at a wonderful Japanese restaurant over eating at a pizzeria or one of the most popular fast food chains. We know the ones in which I speak. I just simply was not into a fast chow-down last night. I wanted an establishment that was going to wow the socks off my eyes; some dim lighting with the appearance or the illusion of a fine dining atmosphere. Okay (smile), it was a Japanese/Chinese establishment and it was not illusion; I was seated at a C- shaped dining table with a glossy red wood grain. The table was adorned with  nice champagne glasses and silver place mats, really simple but elegant. This restaurant was called Jacky's Galaxy and Sushi Bar . In an earlier time, I would never have considered a ChinJap restaurant a luxurious venture. There's nothing like a bowl of Wonton Soup. It is a perfect appetizer or just a meal if you can't hold a large meal. Ken Wok is located in North Providence, RI. The food is excellent there. I don't eat Chinese food often but when I do, this is the place over all others that I have been to so far.

Okay, I was on a Chinese Food kick. So, I ventured down the street for some more Chinese food. I ate at Ken Wok on Mineral Springs. Nice flavor and nice portions. I will admit that I only went for some appetizers but I was peering over at everyone else's table to know the true portion sizes. I only ordered the egg drop soup. My friend ordered the famous wonton soup. Then, we ordered a nice sized appetizer to split. It had beef teriyaki on skewers, chicken tenders, spring rolls, and some spare ribs. Besides burning my palette on the soup, it was an excellent night out. Lol. 

I ate out at PF Chang's with a friend this past weekend. The food was delicious. This restaurant is located in downtown Providence, Rhode Island in the mall complex. It is a perfect location for tourist when they visit. They are going to get really good business during the Waterfire Celebrations Providence hosts a few times a year. For those of you who don't know what Waterfire is....it is when art lovers or hopeless romantics from all over come through to watch the gondolas pass in the Providence River, visit local art museums and galleries, sit outside and dine at fine restaurants, etc. So since PF Chang's establishment arrived, I think it will add some extra cuisine to the already fabulous selections downtown. I grew to love PF Chang's for the first time when I visited Atlantic City, New Jersey. I went there many times when I lived in New Jersey and still frequent it now that I live in Rhode Island. I can't get enough of AC....
