Ring Pops

Wow, this takes me back. Had to distract my boys with one of their own in order for me to enjoy mine. Imagine two other mouths on your ring pop. Ewww lol www.candyandsnacktoday.com  -  540 × 473  -  Search by image

Tea for me on Thanksgiving

I was up making the Turkey for Thanksgiving. I have no idea what happened but I had no voice the next morning. (Thanksgiving) Perhaps that's a blessing for some. *smile* However, my son has made me some tea so I can get back into the ring and finish my cooking. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.

Meet Louie

This little darling is so loveable. Meet Louie.

Cute Desk Storage

Okay, this is cute. Just a few items on my desk at work. These gorgeous boxes were made by a friend. She just thought them up. She is a crafty individual. So, I have two on my desk and I use them for my office supplies. I gave two other boxes to coworkers and they are using them as well. They had different colors, of course. So enjoy!

My Son Being Creative Again

There is a method to his madness!! Okay, it's not madness. But, he is pretty random with his expressions. He painted horses and put them as a display in my room. I think he wants me to display them at work. I would be most honored. Also with the roses, he is in the process of creating something a little more entailed. We will have to just wait and see !

A Nice Gesture

You know it doesn't take much. It was a pretty interesting day. I have posted a few blogs all at once. I have been running many errands so I slacked off on blogging on the great weekend I had. It just consisted of food but all the better. I just want to mention that I made someone's day this week. It was a nice woman who visited me on the job. I went over and above to help her and she mailed me a card to show her appreciation. It was touching so I wanted to share it.

OMG! Went back for more Chinese Food

Okay, I was on a Chinese Food kick. So, I ventured down the street for some more Chinese food. I ate at Ken Wok on Mineral Springs. Nice flavor and nice portions. I will admit that I only went for some appetizers but I was peering over at everyone else's table to know the true portion sizes. I only ordered the egg drop soup. My friend ordered the famous wonton soup. Then, we ordered a nice sized appetizer to split. It had beef teriyaki on skewers, chicken tenders, spring rolls, and some spare ribs. Besides burning my palette on the soup, it was an excellent night out. Lol.

PF Chang's

I ate out at PF Chang's with a friend this past weekend. The food was delicious. This restaurant is located in downtown Providence, Rhode Island in the mall complex. It is a perfect location for tourist when they visit. They are going to get really good business during the Waterfire Celebrations Providence hosts a few times a year. For those of you who don't know what Waterfire is....it is when art lovers or hopeless romantics from all over come through to watch the gondolas pass in the Providence River, visit local art museums and galleries, sit outside and dine at fine restaurants, etc. So since PF Chang's establishment arrived, I think it will add some extra cuisine to the already fabulous selections downtown. I grew to love PF Chang's for the first time when I visited Atlantic City, New Jersey. I went there many times when I lived in New Jersey and still frequent it now that I live in Rhode Island. I can't get enough of AC....

Helping Out the Next Guy!

I won't provide any visuals on today's blog. I just wanted to keep it anonymous. I helped out a stranger today. I was amongst a group of able bodies who could have extended a hand but ignored the choice. It wasn't a major issue but I felt the need to act. I visited a government office today. It was a rainy day. Since the building was not yet open a line of rain-drenched people stood out in front, waiting feverishly to be let inside. I saw this line from afar as I parked my vehicle. My vehicle was warm and acted as a great shield from the rain. Most people had umbrellas or wore hoodied jackets. I guess they were as prepared for the rain than they will ever be. However, what caught my attention was a gentlemen hovering on the other side of the doors. He chose to cower on the other side of the building to avoid the wet wind that flowed from behind the backs of those who waited in line. He wore no jacket and he had no umbrella. At first, I almost mumbled to myself, "How...

Do Chickens Have Ears?

I had a question asked of me from my son. That question was "Do chickens have ears?" I did not know the answer to this question. So, I had to look it up. So, when you get asked this question you will be prepared to give the answer. The answer is Yes. Read more about it here. Random beauty tip

A lot of women and men post articles and create videos on beauty and grooming. Hygiene and self preservation are broad concepts, meaning that there are many folds and platforms in which to perfect and improve the styles associated with each. The many videos I come across have been extremely helpful for me. Eyebrow grooming 1,   Eyebrow Brushing,   Eye Brushing 2 , Men's Eyebrow Grooming      Today's blog just wanted to touch briefly on one grooming tips that I rarely come across (and maybe because I don't do the proper searching). That grooming tip is eyebrow brushing.  (Smile)      Ok.....wait. I can hear gals and guys saying....."Oh, girl, we do our brows! We get them waxed and threaded." In your defense, I agree. However, not all women do the waxing or threading. Myself, being one of them. A friend told me that she shaved off her eyebrows and they never grew back the same. Therefore, tha...

Rise and Shine

This was my breakfast this morning. I got tired of the traditional bagel or the two slices of white toast with peanut butter that seemed to become the norm. I was in the market early in the morning looking for a change; a new flavor to stimulate my palate and at the same time fill my body with essential vitamins and minerals. I'm not so ready to jump buildings in single bounds but this good choice of breakfast helped me tackle my eventful day. I will just leave the tall leaps and metal bending for Clark Kent (S-man).

My Cracker Jack

Hey, remember this wonderful snack? Cracker Jack . Wow. I remember when I was a kid. This snack came in a small rectangular shaped box. There was always a prize inside. Well, this bag says that you have a chance to win a diamond. All you have to do is open the bag. Needless to say, I wasn't a winner because if I was a winner, I would have started this blog off with (Whoopie!!). Well, my bag only contained a little insert with information on Susan B. Anthony. Okay. Nice. She was the nice lady on the front of golden dollars issued by the mint a few years back. I guess it will come in handy when my son does his next research report. So, to recap, I had a nice snack and learned something new at the same time.

ReLunch

Lunch was pasta and hamburg again from the earlier blog.  Let me tell you.....I did not get any of it. I had to make it again to actually get a  bowl. Okay, this is what happened.... after making the lunch that day, I decided to lay down for a while. I was a little tired, you know. So, I took my nap for about 3 hours. Hmmm. When I awakened, I went to get a bowl. To my surprise, the pot was empty. Some piggies got into the pot. news.distractify.com

Cat's Pasta dish

Just cook hamburg or ground pork, or ground turkey. At the same time boil pasta (any kind). Once both are cooked, drain and combine. Mix burg and pasta together with honey bbque sauce. You can add parmesan cheese if you like. Heck, you can add anything you like. Breaking the rules is accepted.

Little jay is a true artist.

Here is one of his paintings. I will post more its true what they say....children are sponges.

Green mugs and tray

I just pinned this with the PinMyPhoto app. I was off and I decided to do a quick photo snap.

Flowers in her hair

I'm off today. Nice day to be visual. The first thing I saw once I opened ny eyes are my lil flowers that I wear in my hair. The colors just popped. So I put one on. Voila! Not bad for someone who just woke up. I apologize if I scared anyone. Lol. I haven't given myself time to play with the small things in life. My days are always full of stress between school, work and kids. Most if the time I am being a tomboy and wearing a hoodie. Trying new things is always fun. Self exploration is always fun. Heyyyy, get your mind out of the gutter. *smile* Therefore, I applaud myself for the efforts. So, if this blog comes off as conceited or self centered....that's totally not what I'm striving for. As I continue to get the hang of blogging, there will be more external arts and interests in which I will shine my light upon. Good day, folks!
