Featured Works

Just checking in between the different art postings and I would like to feature a few pieces.

Project Complete

Hi, I am back with the finished project. I decided to make her part of the Candy Collection that I have started in Fine Arts America. Shes is #2. Her name is Tootsie Sweets and her hair is blowing in the wind. She is on fire. She is sporting her blue and green shawl with a blue bow. Her lips is voluptious. The original is on 18 x 24 drawing paper and will be mounted shortly. It is not for sale at this moment but the prints are being sold on my site  .

Project Still UnderWay

Hi, I used the markers to trace all the lines. I whipped out my oil pastels and stunts. It is certainly time-consuming. Now, I have to decide the color scheme. Coming along.....I do a little each day while watching tv. Don't you know I can multi-task? One more thing I would like to add....I drew her lying on my back in the dark. Whoaaa!!! :)

Breathtaking View

Just wanted to feature this breathtaking view of a landscape in Newport, RI. I was standing on the end of the cliff looking down at this beautiful sight . Yes, the prints are for sale, but I still want to share its beauty with everyone. I am not into forcing my work onto anyone. It is there for the visually stimulated. If you want it displayed on your wall at home, it's available to you along with other marvelous pieces.

Next Project

I have sketched a woman that came to mind. My work usually start out as a sketch and then develop into an acrylic painting or oil pastel. This week I decided to put the camera down for a bit. Heck, I have a lot of photos to sift through on my trip to the state park. However, I can hear the oil pastels calling me from my art bag. "Put down the camera!" I am mesmerized. So, I had a pouch of new sharpies. Let's start the tracing, shall we? Lets see what this woman can look like.

Ken Wok Again

There's nothing like a bowl of Wonton Soup. It is a perfect appetizer or just a meal if you can't hold a large meal. Ken Wok is located in North Providence, RI. The food is excellent there. I don't eat Chinese food often but when I do, this is the place over all others that I have been to so far.

Invisible Potato Surprise

Try this recipe that I threw together and the flavors totally surprised my palette. It was soooo good that I ate it before taking a snapshot. I'm sure this mix of foods have been put together for ages.....just not anywhere in kitchens of my life. I'm no reknowned chef but my discoveries can help some other newbie. My basic ingredients: 4-5 Potatoes (depending on # servings you want) 1 Onion (1/3 of it diced or sliced julienne style) 1/2 cup of Kielbasa 1 pinch of salt (optional)                Or 1 pinch of garlic salt or garlic powder                Or Heck, use whatever seasonings you like. I achieved satisfaction by doing a pinch of both. Yes, I know that salt is not your friend so be aware when you choose your flavors. As for myself, I tend to stay away from it. This dish is totalled distracting. To prepare: Cut potatoes into small c...
