Enigmatic Dreamer

Enigmatic Dreamer

Long dark hall
No obvious passage
View is dreary and incomplete
Loss of perception
Loss of direction

Lost
Gloom and doom
Fate awaits the map less
To begin and to end to utter darkness echoes of madness
Excess of profanity
Separation of sanity

Channeling through the corridor
At the end is light
Beckoning
For thermal heat of life
Dead end Bright light Invisible-like sheer
Draping in the cold dark atmosphere

Not in reality; a puzzling dream
In a new world, new frontier
Of intimacy Love in a bed of Translucence Alone and weary
Dark melting fiction
Found
A wake

Hallo-Fam Time

By Catherine Ratliff Oct. 2017      Spent time with the family indoors this past Halloween 2017. It made for a really different experience. Words couldn't express the evening. Therefore, I will let the slideshow do the talking for us.      We put together some really nice snacks that turned our taste buds into a frenzy. We baked yellow cake with chocolate frosting. We really created a witchy atmosphere.     It became a movie night. The movie selection was from my f...

Informal Florals

I'm no florist, but when you have some floral scraps left behind and an empty tomato sauce jar....it can be a match made in heaven. I decide to marry the two together. I made a DIY floral arrangement in my living room. I cut the stems and threw them in some water. That tomato sauce jar was on it's way into the trash/recycling canister. A friend said, "You have to remove the tomato sauce wrapper off the jar." I could not bring myself to do that. The colors worked well together and so I did not take that advice. Now, the scene looked very Parisian with the brass Eiffel tower standing shotgun. And..........just  below it I wanted to throw props to my oldest vase in the house.  I picked up this vase at a second hand shop for a few bucks. I purchased some faux floral arrangements at  my local Walmart. I tend to add different colors throughout the year. But, this particular arrangement reflects the Christmas holiday.
